The Southwest Public Safety Technology Center (SWTC) partners with other research centers when appropriate.

Within the University of Houston, SWTC can be organized under the Complex Systems Research Cluster (as designated by UH's Division of Research).

Outside the University, SWTC participates in various research projects at a national level with National Institutes of Justice (NIJ) and others.
